Jane
Okondo
Jane is based in Greenwich, London with her husband Mudimo. She has been teaching Somatic therapy since 1994, with her focus of research on the connection between breath, somatic patterns and fluid body dynamics and how movement supports our access to resiliency and connection.
Jane has a private practice in Integrative Bodywork and Movement therapy, Continuum Wellsprings, Biodynamic Cranial-sacral therapy and Somatic Experiencing. She teaches Continuum in the UK and Europe and co-facilitates retreats in Continuum Flow at Karuna Institute.
She has a master’s degree in Dance and Somatic Wellbeing from the University of Central Lancaster. She was mentored by Emilie Conrad from 2000 and authorized as a teacher in 2007. She is on the faculty for the Integrative Bodywork and Movement Therapy training, www.ibmt.co.uk, teaching in the UK, Lithuania and Russia and is on the Board for ISMETA. www.ismeta.org
Jane loves inquiry, living life this way and being part of the wider somatic movement community. She is currently participating in the Circles of Four program for the Discipline of Authentic Movement, with Janet Adler as her mentor and is clear this work holds the space of sacred inquiry for her. It also diffuses into all and deeply informs her practice.
