Bringing Wholeness to Solstice
I am just back from Argentina where the days are getting longer, the nights are warm (inviting the social Latin spirit to gather in outdoor restaurants over delicious food fixing the world with words till the wee hours) and most activities are winding down for the year.
I land in LA, the place I call home, to short days, cool evenings and find myself sitting by candle light at 5PM.
The cycles of Nature are very present in my mind and the awareness of how a “quick” plane ride can bring the polarities to their indivisible wholeness.
Summer…winter….light…dark….day…night…health…illness…red..blue…life…death…
The question I have been sitting with is what is the THREAD that unites? What is the matrix of wholeness I can lean into?

This quote by David Whyte has served me as the portal to engage in my inquiry.
What he calls the “seasonal round” I experience as a movement, an oscillation between extremes, illuminating what I choose to let go of and what I choose to embrace.
I invite you to join us to celebrate Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere in community through the teachings of Continuum brought forth by Emilie Conrad!!
Continuum invites us to oscillate between opposites with no preference simply following the innate wisdom of the fluids that pulsate inside us!
Following the rhythm of our own breath, we make it audible inviting simple sounds.
We use our touch to augment and direct the effects of our audible breath, allowing places of holding and resistance to melt and express in new, unfamiliar, nourishing ways.
We invite our attention to remain open to perceive the body sensations expressing through the language of our fluids.
We follow movement. We follow ripples. We follow waves. We follow the wisdom expression of our inner river with no agenda, no maps….just allowing it to come to fruition and then let go….come to fruition….let go…come to fruition…let go!
