Diving with Your Shadow: A Hallowe’en Continuum Exploration
Hallowe’en tends to be associated with ghosts, ghouls and goblins, costumed children collecting candy or other goodies, and carved pumpkins lighting up the dark. Its origins relate to remembering, appeasing or praying for the dead, but we can see it as being about the parts of ourselves that we have deadened.
We all learn growing up that there are aspects of ourselves that are not acceptable and must not be expressed. These parts becomes deadened, relegated to the unconscious shadows of our minds, and compressed into relatively dead, dense tissues in our bodies.
Would you like to get to know and reclaim these parts of yourself?
Continuum enables that which is frozen or deadened within us to begin to move again. Instead of donning masks and costumes to become or avoid the dead, we awaken those parts with gentle breaths, sounding and mindful movement.
This Hallowe’en, you are invited to a special Continuum exploration to return to life what is deadened or paralysed. The results may surprise you: more sense of aliveness, fluidity, flexibility, creativity and freedom.
Within this context, this 3-hour online class involves practicing the breaths, sounding, and mindful movement of Continuum to dissolve patterns and areas of holding in our tissues as we learn to mindfully welcome and be with aspects of ourselves emerging for healing. We can emerge with increased flexibility, resilience, creativity and well-being.
